Une f\u00eate qui vient dans un contexte o\u00f9 le B\u00e9nin a surmont\u00e9 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements pouvant le ramener en arri\u00e8re dans sa marche politique. Il n\u2019est un secret pour personne que la d\u00e9cennie qui a suivi l\u2019accession du Dahomey \u00e0 la souverainet\u00e9 internationale n\u2019a pas du tout \u00e9t\u00e9 glorieuse au regard de l\u2019incursion r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9e de l\u2019arm\u00e9e dans la gestion du pouvoir. Ce qui donnait lieu \u00e0 des coups d\u2019Etat jusqu\u2019en 1972 o\u00f9 feu G\u00e9n\u00e9ral Mathieu K\u00e9r\u00e9kou a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 arr\u00eater la saign\u00e9e. Depuis lors, les forces arm\u00e9es b\u00e9ninoises ont pris l\u2019engagement de retourner dans les casernes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malgr\u00e9 les querelles politiques, l\u2019arm\u00e9e reste fid\u00e8le \u00e0 cet engagement tout en pr\u00e9servant sa neutralit\u00e9 au moment o\u00f9 le vent contraire est observ\u00e9 dans plusieurs pays de la sous-r\u00e9gion. Aussi se montre-t-elle r\u00e9publicaine face aux menaces terroristes qui tentent de s\u00e9vir dans certaines communes du nord. Les actes l\u00e2ches et barbares de ces individus sans foi ni loi ne font en aucun cas reculer les forces arm\u00e9es b\u00e9ninoises qui restent d\u00e9termin\u00e9es \u00e0 ne rien conc\u00e9der \u00e0 l\u2019ennemi dont la marche devient de plus en plus p\u00e9nible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alors, m\u00eame s\u2019il n\u2019y a rien \u00e0 c\u00e9l\u00e9brer ce 1<sup>er<\/sup> ao\u00fbt, les forces arm\u00e9es b\u00e9ninoises m\u00e9ritent bien la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration.
