La Haute Autorit\u00e9 de l’Audiovisuel et de la Communication (Haac) appelle l’ensemble des m\u00e9dias du B\u00e9nin \u00e0 diffuser tout message d’int\u00e9r\u00eat public provenant du gouvernement ou de l’institution elle-m\u00eame. C’est \u00e0 travers une note sign\u00e9e par le pr\u00e9sident de l’institution de r\u00e9gulation des m\u00e9dias du B\u00e9nin, \u00c9douard Loko et rendue publique le mardi 23 d\u00e9cembre dernier. Cette d\u00e9cision vient ainsi fouetter le patriotisme des m\u00e9dias b\u00e9ninois.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La d\u00e9cision 25-091 du 19 d\u00e9cembre 2025 portant obligation de diffusion des messages d’int\u00e9r\u00eat public \u00e9manant du gouvernement ou sur ordre de la Haute Autorit\u00e9 de l’Audiovisuel et de la Communication stipule en son article 1, \u00ab Tout organe de presse est tenu de publier ou de diffuser sans d\u00e9lai et sans alt\u00e9ration, tout message \u00e9manant du gouvernement ou sur ordre de la Haac lorsque le message est d\u00e9clar\u00e9 d’int\u00e9r\u00eat public \u00ab\u00a0. La Haac justifie cette d\u00e9cision par la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de prot\u00e9ger l\u2019ordre public. \u00ab\u00a0La d\u00e9cision stipule que le retard injustifi\u00e9 ou l’alt\u00e9ration du contenu d’un message d’int\u00e9r\u00eat public expose l’organe de presse concern\u00e9 aux sanctions pr\u00e9vues par les textes en vigueur \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par cette d\u00e9cision fond\u00e9e sur les 230 et 231 du code de l\u2019information et de la communication au B\u00e9nin est la mat\u00e9rialisation de la volont\u00e9 du pr\u00e9sident Edouard Loko de pousser les m\u00e9dias b\u00e9ninois \u00e0 plus de patriotisme. Le num\u00e9ro de la 7e mandature de la Haac a rappel\u00e9 cette volont\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs occasions. Pour lui, le respect des r\u00e8gles d\u2019\u00e9thique et de d\u00e9ontologie seul ne suffit plus pour une presse qui contribue au d\u00e9veloppement de la Nation. Une bonne dose de patriotisme dans le traitement et la diffusion de l\u2019information s\u2019av\u00e8re aussi n\u00e9cessaire autant que le respect de la d\u00e9ontologie qui r\u00e9git le m\u00e9tier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ainsi, avec cette d\u00e9cision, Edouard Loko fouette le patriotisme des m\u00e9dias b\u00e9ninois dans un contexte de prolif\u00e9ration de fausses informations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
